Sydney is usually your  first port of call.  As in all our cities, we do much more than arrange the best hotels.  Our focus is on your whole experience – helicopters and sea-planes, sailing on the beautiful harbour, a private gallery tour, behind the scenes at the famous Opera House, top restaurant recommendations and helpful advice on world class shopping.

Over 2000 kilometres in length, The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s most impressive marine spectacle.  We're lucky to be regular visitors up this way, and we have in-depth local knowledge of the luxury resorts, the private boats and the isolated Robinson Crusoe-style islands. 

There are some wonderful guides up here – fellows who know the Reef like their own backyard.  They know where to fish, where to snorkel, and the best beaches to comb.  They know the coral cays, the tidal inlets, and the finest islands for nature walks.  Their expertise and love for the environment captures you, as does their sense of humour -- bringing a very Australian feel to the whole experience.

The primeval rainforests of tropical Queensland are the most ancient on earth, and they harbour the richest biodiversity anywhere in Australia.   David is one of our most popular Rainforest guides.  He's a  dedicated naturalist, and what we call "A Quiet Achiever" -- he created this private rainforest sanctuary himself, to help preserve the precious birds and animals of the Daintree.

The wetlands at the Top End of Australia are home to a spectacular diversity of birdlife and wildlife.  Each year the tropical monsoon brings flood waters to replenish the rivers, and this ignites a cycle of environmental re-birth.   And just to the East of all this is Arnhem Land, a stronghold of Australia’s indigenous culture.

Like much of the accommodation Wilderness Australia recommends, Bamurru Plains is  five star -- but not in the 'traditional' sense.   It's a nature lover's choice -- the safari bungalows immerse you in the wild ambience, rather than providing mini-bars, ISD phones or cable television, so your experience expands beyond just a luxury accommodation.   Here your guides will let you in on the local lore, and take you through it with air-boats, bush-walks and safari drives to view the magnificent birds and eccentric animals of Australia. 

 In a style they call "Wild Bush Luxury," the camp offers little touches that really make a difference.  Here you will eat incredibly well, sleep like royalty in the midst of nature, enjoy fine wines, a midday dip in the pool and loads of that welcoming, casual Australian hospitality. 

 Arkaba Station is arguably the most beautiful outback property in Australia.  In a ruggedly spectacular setting, Arkaba gives a real taste of life on a working sheep station, while you experience the sheer space of Australia’s vast remote interior. 

 At Arkaba, you are welcomed into the home of station owners Lizzie and Dean Rahseed.  You'll share meals at their dining table, bush walk to swimming holes for a picnic under the gum trees, and camp out under the stars if you wish.  Travellers to Arkaba arrive as guests, but they leave as friends to Lizzie and Dean.
